Socially-Distant Holiday: How to Celebrate from Your Car
If you want to safely spread some holiday cheer, just celebrate the season in your car! We’ve put together a list of some socially-distant activities so you can stay safe and enjoy the holidays responsibly.
56th Annual Austin Trail of Lights
An Austin institution for over half a decade, the 56th annual Austin Trail of Lights is switching things up this year by turning it into a drive-through. It’s a whole new way to experience this classic Austin tradition. You and up to eight passengers (seated safely and ideally from the same COVID-19 sphere) will enjoy more than two million lights, 90 lighted holiday trees, and more than 70 festive displays. Be sure to tune in to the Trail of Lights radio station for a curated holiday playlist! Passes are limited, so secure your spot today!
Peppermint Parkway
It seems only right that you can celebrate the holidays from your car at Circuit of the Americas. Since starting a few years ago, the annual holiday festival at COTA has been a favorite of Austin families, with beautiful displays lit up with dazzling lights. This year they are unveiling Peppermint Parkway, a new drive-through experience that takes you through fun displays like Candy Cane Lane, Gingerbread Alley, and the Frozen Land. You can even take a lap around the only F1 track in the United States! There’s also a carnival with rides and concessions, but if you want to stay safe we recommend sticking to the drive-through.
